We breed Texels to show standards in a variety of colors and patterns. Newest is our lilac and tan line.

Lunkaryas
Not recognized as an official breed in the USA yet. StarGazer Caviary is working on the beginnings of a Certificate of Development for this wonderful breed

Ideal Pets
We handle our cavies gently, daily. They are trained to accept nail trims, grooming and basic handling prior to going to their forever homes

Breeding
We pride ourself on responsible breeding. Females have no more than 2 litters per year and most offspring are kept by SGC. Waitlist available for babies!

Showing
SGC is working towards Master Breeder designation by the American Cavy Breeders Association. This process involves showing, judging, and advocating.

Boarding
For small and exotic pets only. In home, personalized care for your furry friends. Text or call for availability and details!

How long do guinea pigs live?
Cavies live an average of 5-8 years but some can live as long as 10 years!
Do boy or girl guinea pigs make better pets?
Both sexes make excellent pets! Boys, also known as Boars, can live in pairs or trios. Girls can be kept in larger groups given enough space.
Do you ship Guinea Pigs?
We do offer delivery but not shipping as this causes too much stress on the pigs. Contact us to get a delivery cost estimate.
